The Bedrooms

Pots & Pans Cottage has two double bedrooms. The cosy main bedroom has a kingsize iron bed and plenty of storage space. The room has an open beamed ceiling and a low mullioned window with window seat overlooking the garden. An original feature fireplace is set into one wall, and behind the bed, there is evidence of an old ‘taking-in-door ‘ (now blocked up) that is older than the house.  This is actually on the outside wall of the weaver’s cottage we are attached to and was where the wool was delivered to the weavers.

One recent guest who gave us a five-star rating said she’d wished she’d booked a third night!,

“the main bed was the best bed I have slept on away from home!”

The 2nd bedroom with en-suite has an iron daybed that can be converted into either a kingsize bed or twin beds depending on your needs. This bedroom has two windows and beautiful views across Uppermill in the valley up to the hills of Saddleworth.

Due to its tucked-away location, there is no passing traffic or nighttime noise.  Apart from perhaps the odd sheep or horse in the fields above the cottage, the evenings at Pots & Pans Cottage are wonderfully peaceful.

Both bedrooms are non-smoking.

The bedrooms have radiators, black-out blinds and various lighting options.

Extra bed linen, blankets, and loads of extra pillows are provided. All bed linens are luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton.

A travel cot with a proper mattress and cotton sheets suitable for babies is available on request.
