Pots & Pans Cottage, a charming L shaped 18th-century weavers cottage, is located in a small hamlet 10 minutes walk from the centre of bustling Uppermill village in Saddleworth, and straight onto open Peak District for excellent walking.
Pots & Pans Cottage forms part of one of the oldest hamlets in Saddleworth, within Uppermill village, well known for its cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops. The cottage is a beautiful example of an iconic Saddleworth cottage with many original features and mullion windows throughout.
As the cottage is located in a quiet and peaceful hamlet, it is not suitable for parties. The cottage, although small, can comfortably accommodate four adults and therefore the maximum occupancy is four people.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at the cottage, and a £20 charge is levied to cover any additional cleaning costs.
There is a designated parking spot close to the cottage for one car (less than 1-minute walk). Free on-street parking is available close by where additional cars can be parked.
The cottage is tucked away, so although there is a garden, there isn’t any space for a parking spot right outside, this does mean that the cottage has no passing traffic and is very private, and wonderfully peaceful.
The cottage is full of character with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with bath, one ensuite), a cosy lounge and well-equipped kitchen and dining area. The decked garden and gazebo for outdoor dining is perfect to enjoy the tranquillity of Saddleworth.
A children’s highchair, stair gate and travel cot are available on request.
There’s nothing better than a cup of tea once you’ve checked in. Tea, coffee and a pint of fresh Saddleworth milk from J&R Lancashire Roundhill farm in Dobcross is provided on arrival.
