Wellifest 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic
This music festival is organised by the Rotary club and raises funds for local charities
The line up of acts set to perform in 2020 is perhaps the most exciting line up yet! With the Manchester Ska Foundation headlining the event. Local indie rock band Sterohaze will be one to look out for, as will Jam tribute band ‘The Jam Restart’, Uncle Buck and the Cotton Famine Road. For me, the highlight of the day will be listening to the awesome Elmo Ashall-Kelly, who is an incredibly talented singer-songwriter and will go down a storm.
The full line up can be found at the festival website line up page.
There will be entertainment provided for all ages, two bars including a gin and rum bar and a variety of food outlets including the awesome Saddleworth Pie Company, Stone Baked Pizza, Greek Street Food and the fabulous Grandpa Greene’s Ice Cream Parlour!
Gates open at 2.30pm, and the music runs from 3.30pm until 9.30pm.
Tickets cost £15 for adults (over 12 years), £5 for children (5-12 years), and children under five go free. A family ticket (2 Adults and 2 Children) costs £35. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be bought online at the wellifest ticket page, or at the Royal George in Greenfield, The Clarence, Well-i-hole Farm and Saddleworth Museum.
Tickets will also be available on the day of the event from the ticket desk at the gate, these tickets are priced at £15 for adults (over 12 years), £5 for children (5-12 years), and children under 5 years go free.
The festival site is about a fifteen-minute walk from Greenfield Station, and free parking is available close by if you are travelling by car.
Though if you fancy it for the full festival experience, there is camping available at the absolutely fantastic Well-i-Hole Farm campsite. This is literally next door to the festival site and is set in a beautiful location. The farm can cater for tents, motorhomes, trailer tents and caravans. For more information visit their website Well-i-Hole farm campsite.
Full details about the festival can be found at the wellifest website.
The Annual Saddleworth show will be held at the same site on the Sunday following Wellifest, 28th June 2020. This popular show includes fun and games for all the family, including traditional country events.
Cheer and beers and local fun!
