Great location, just a short walk into the village of Uppermill, surrounded by impressive views of Saddleworth moor. The cottage is very cosy and nicely furnished, a lovely historic property with deep windowsills, wooden doors and beautiful flooring throughout. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with utensils, crockery and coffee-making facilities. Everything about the kitchen is top notch, a great homely feel to it and all you could need to cook for yourself should you wish. The lounge is really cosy and comfortably furnished. Great little woodburner and the hardware shop on the High St stocks kindling and wood, should you need more. The small garden is lovely, with a shelter for sitting out in the (warmer) evenings! Cliff was very helpful via text and email, and it was a bonus to have a cottage that isn’t over-looked by the owner so is nice and private. The website and pre-arrival information are very helpful with lots of tips on places to shop and eat and information about the cottage and parking. Don’t use satnav to get all the way to the cottage, use the pre-arrival information for detailed directions from Uppermill High St as the post-code takes you elsewhere! Once found, it is really simple and only a few minutes drive from the centre of Uppermill.
